Meet XP - The New Meta for User Engagement

Last month, we threw out the old playbook and rebuilt our points system from scratch. The feedback from the community was clear: Points were tough to earn, had limited ways to stack, and were dominated by the big bois. We went back to work with one goal in mind – leveling the playing field and giving plebs a real shot.

Enter XP

Xperience Points (XP) are the new universal metric to measure and reward user engagement on Paradex. XP isn’t just a number - it’s a quantitative system for rewarding every contribution, big or small, to the Paradex ecosystem.

Season 1 Features

We are introducing an updated approach to XP distribution. Previously, XP allocations were transparently broken down by category with explicit weights assigned. Moving forward, we are adopting a more dynamic model.

This change is designed to reduce gaming of the system, minimize distribution to sybil farmers, and maximize rewards for genuine users and meaningful activity.

The goal simple, ensure a fairer XP distribution that benefits and strengthens our entire community.

Finally with the launch of Season 1 we are officially exiting Beta and Preparing for TGE 🚀

How to Stack XP

Under the new rewards system, we will share the list of categories that earn XP but will no longer specify the exact weights or allocation for each. Below are some examples of eligible categories for XP distribution. Note that this list is non-exhaustive, and categories may be added or updated in the future:

Fee and Maker XP → Pay trading fees, add liquidity

Open Interest XP → Keep trading positions open

TVL XP → Deposit collateral

Vault XP → Deposit into Vaults

Liquidation XP → Get liquidated. Yes, that earns XP too!‍

Community XP → Trade actively, refer friends, use new features, publish community research, share alpha and be active in Discord.
